How did you spend your July 4th l-o-o-n-g weekend? Most of my waking hours were spent handling every loose bit of paper in my home office, making room for my partner’s books and papers as he transitions out of teaching piano and executes a non-hostile takeover of the home office space.
Never mind the mundane, though… in exchange for making room for him, Doug transferred these recordings I made in the summer of 1994, right before I moved from Norway to Minnesota, from tape to bits. I believe these were recorded in a church in Halden, Norway, with my beloved piano teacher. It’s mostly Edvard Grieg art songs, along with some Haydn for dessert. Enjoy!
